Sidney Grant is an award-winning dancer and choreographer who has appeared on and off Broadway, and performs regularly at private parties and special events locally, regionally and internationally. A consummate social dancer (ballroom, swing, hustle and latin), he accompanies his clientele to an array of black tie dinner dances. Specializing in the Argentine Tango -- Sid often travels with his students to Buenos Aires and other global dance destinations. His passion for partner dancing has enabled him to build a worldwide clientele in numerous places such as Australia, England, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Scandinavia, Central America and Mexico.

As a proud member of the Screen Actor's Guild, Sid Grant has danced in film and TV, often assisting in training actors and actresses for ballroom dancing scenes. He is featured in the hit documentary film Mad Hot Ballroom, and his school children are captured on the DVD of Take The Lead winning the New York City ballroom dancing championship at the Winter Garden in lower Manhattan. He has had the unique pleasure of working with many stars of stage and screen, including Oscar-winning actresses Julia Roberts and Marcia Gay Harden in the movie Mona Lisa Smile, and continues to enjoy his theatrical and cinematic endeavors.

For seven years, Sid was affiliated with The American Ballroom Theater Company as both a senior teaching artist, and co-creator/Artistic Director of the ABrT Youth Company. Grant's innovative choreography of the children was featured on Good Morning America with Antonio Banderas, The 35th Anniversary Gala for the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. with Marvin Hamlisch, Madison Square Garden (the halftime show), Lincoln Center, and PBS, as well as a two-page photo spread for the March 2008 issue of Vogue.
Sid also enjoyed several years as the ballroom and latin dance guest instructor at The School of American Ballet (ABT) at Lincoln Center, where he also recently taught the patrons for the annual gala at City Opera. A firm believer in bringing the power of partner dancing to young and old alike, Sid has also worked in a number of nursing homes and senior centers with the elderly in both New York and New Jersey.

In addition to teaching celebrities, executives, dignitaries and wedding couples, he lectures not only on tango, but on the significance of partner dancing's connection, most recently at The Japan Society and the annual symposium on Psychoanalysis and Spirituality conducted by the Objects Relations institute. His presentations blend both history and demonstration. He's also done corporate health & wellness workshops for major companies such as AT&T, Ziff Davis and Exxon, among others. He has been doing business as Doctor Dance in New York City since 1990.

Having had former studio spaces in midtown and lower Manhattan, Sid is thrilled with his new uptown venue in Spanish Harlem, where he not only teaches and coaches privately, but works with inner city youth as the Founder/Artistic Director of BALLROOM BASIX (, a non-competitive, arts-in-education non-for-profit program. He is also co-creator (with yoga instructor Lisa Spaeth) of danZen' -- a fusion of Zen meditation and partner dancing.

About Daniela Pucci
Argentine tango dancer based out of NYC, touring the U.S. and the world dancing and teaching.

Daniela left her career as an MIT engineering professor to join Luis Bianchi as his tango partner. Luis left Buenos Aires to join her in New York City, where she currently reside.

Daniela's performances have been described as sensational, passionate, musical, and technically impeccable. Her dance is based on deep knowledge of the different styles of tango: milonguero, salon, nuevo and stage, which she blends with ease and fluidity to create very personal interpretations.

As instructor, she has quickly gained renown for their deep grasp on body mechanics as well as analytical, logical and detail-oriented teaching style. Her ultimate goal is to help students achieve better quality of movement, develop a comfortable, subtle and sensitive connection with the partner, increase their body awareness and find their own unique voice in the dance. Students in their classes can expect a wealth of information on tango technique, encouragement to push boundaries, lots of hands-on instruction and a healthy dose of humor to complement the mix.
