Kate and I intive you to walk/lunch this coming Sunday 22nd April inland to the beautiful perched village of Peillon, located just 15kms east of Nice on the road to the painted chapels, as the crow flies from the med inland.
This charming village sits like an eagles nest some 380 metres high on the cliff top. The mountain walk will take you inland still further and is a beautiful get away from it all moment. The only noise you will hear will be the birds singing and occasional chink, chink of metal on stone as the rock climbers hammer looks to find the next hold. Here you’ll find Chanel coloured butterflies and teeny wine violet ones and there were other suprises too. After apero, we plan to head back for lunch in the village at famous resto Les Plaisirs. Approx. 20 -25 euro per head.
Interesting to check out the medieval village, the oldest houses date back to XVIIth Century.
Have checked out the public transport, too difficult to work around timing bearing in mind this is France and lunch means LUNCH not three in the afternoon. If interested in joining us tick the box, if you have a car and willing to share please indicate in your response where you might collect people from.
We really want to be there by 10am, meet in the village square by the fountain leave the village by 10.15 latest. It takes about 20mins from Nice, guessing similar from Monaco. Not too strenuous, approx couple of hours walk, recommend walking boots or similar
