'La Turbie / Eze Village / Eze-sur-Mer' Walk

Hi folks, it's that time again to stretch ones calves. This time we are heading up to La Turbie and descend down to sea level with stunning views of the Cote D'Azur overlooking Monaco & Cap Ferrat. If you have the book 'Walk & Eat Nice' by John & Pat Underwood (publishers Sunflowers Books) then we are doing Walk 6. Do bring a packed lunch, flask and water as we will stop along the way for a picnic and chat. As the weather temperature is changeable throughout the day do wear layers. Walking shoes with good grip and ankle support advisable as there is a steep descent from Fort Revere to Eze Village, then a very long descent to Eze-sur-Mer. We will be catching bus 116 (quai/bay 19) from the Gare Routiere which departs 10:45am (ticket price 1.30euro). NB: sadly if you miss this bus the next one is at 14:15 so too late to join us. Buses do not run Sunday hence we are holding this walk on a Saturday for a change. Should anyone feel that they have had enough once reaching Eze Village they can catch the bus 82 or 112 back to Nice, and leave the die-hards to walk down from Eze Village to Eze-sur-Mer - after a drink and chat at one of the bars at Eze Village of course. For those continuing down to Eze-sur-Mer the bus 100 will bring you back to Nice, and the train. NB: neither James or I are professional guides and doing this walk is at ones own risk. Being careful and not rushing down the descending rocky, narrow, steep paths should eliminate any trips or falls, we're there to enjoy ourselves and the stunning scenery. Hope you can join us, Maria & James

This was La Rose Maria's baby, and she did a fantastic job organizing this event. Everything was in place: the smoothest ride, the bluest sky, stunning views between the sea and snow-capped mountains, and a bonne ballade with an exquisite group of people on a positive vibe. It felt good to be alive.
    See y'all soon
    Best,
    James
