Climb For A Cure 31st Anniversary at IDS Center

The Challenge:

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is proud to announce its 31st year of going vertical to defeat cystic fibrosis. Help us make CF stand for Cure Found by recruiting your friends, family, colleagues and neighbors to join us at the Climb for a Cure.

When: Saturday, February 4, 2012

General Climb 9 am to noon

Public Safety Challenge 8 am

Fitness Challenge 7 am

Where: IDS Center- 80 South 8th Street, downtown Minneapolis

The Goal: 1280 Steps. 50 Floors. 1 Cure. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life shortening, genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and young adults in the US. A defective gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky substance in the lungs and digestive system that hinders the body’s ability to breathe and absorb nutrients. Currently, there is no cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is aggressively pursing a cure for CF by efficiently investing in cutting edge, life saving science

How to Register: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To register as a team leader or an individual climber, click on the Register tab on the right side of this page or contact David Stibbe at[masked] or [masked]. A celebration party will take place after the Climb at Windows on Minnesota in the top of the IDS tower. Parking is free to all climbers in the ramp beneath IDS Center. This is the results from 2011:
1280 Steps, 50 Floors and $282,000 for CF Research!! YOU are a reason the Climb for a Cure far exceeds last year's fund-raising total, remains the largest CF stair-climb in the country and helps bring 30,000 youth closer to a cure. Words cannot express the gratitude. Thank You!!!!!
