1304 University Ave NE #302, Minneapolis, MN
for New Years Eve
and other dancing
I am not sure who is going dancing (and where) for New Years Eve. But you may want to show off with your Waltz dancing on New Years Eve or other special situations.
“Auld Lang Syne”, the famous song played at Midnight on New Years Eve is a Waltz, as played by most bands.
In addition, Waltz is a very romantic dance for New Years Eve and for other dancing opportunities.
You can waltz to movie soundtracks (e.g. Sound of Music), to classical music (e.g. Strauss), to popular bands (e.g. Eagles), to Polka bands (e.g. Gasthof), and to Country Western bands.
This is a one session beginning level class on Thursday 12/20/2012.
Check in at 6:45,
Lesson from 7:00 to 9:00,
Practice time 9:00 to 9:10
Optional: Go to the Peacock bar downstairs in the same building after 9:10 to socialize (tabs on your own)
This class is designed for singles. So, we will be rotating partners frequently to make sure that nobody is without a partner for long. You get to meet and dance with most everybody of opposite gender in the group.
Couples and partnered people are more than encouraged to join us. They can start/end with their partners, but change partners in-between.
(This is a multi-group activity. So, people from other groups will join us.)
