Hi:
I agree Angela.  What happened to the going out and dancing?  I would be willing to host an event at Bogarts, or Minnesota Music cafe, or Manstreet B&G, Blue Fox, just to name a few.  I hear about Pint of the month, wine tasting etc.  That's great!  but what about those who don't drink?  What does a person have to do to host an event?  I think the same person or persons were doing it and I'm sure that gets old after while, but there are a few of us that would be willing to take over.

I am sorry my husband and I could not make the scotch tasting we rsvped yes, he had to work late.... last minute thing.

If there ever is another scotch tasting let us know please....

Oh and also do we ever get together like at the Prime Time in Burnsville or Bogarts in Apple Valley, that would be a lot of fun.

I can't wait to get my husband and I out to see you guys.

Angie

OK it's just an idea, but how about a poker thing?  Meeting people over a card game?  Kind of cool.  I know a bunch over in NY doing this.  Meet people while trying win some change and a few bills?  Could make a little ambient atmosphere, bring in a spirit company... We can use wrenegadepoker.com to schedule or organize/host a game in town.  Pretty cool - they're kind of like Meetup combined with Myspace + Outlook with personalized calendars.  It's not an online site to play cards but has links and invitations to existing bar, club, restaurant and home games - or a way to build our own!  There's even free membership access.  I've seen a lot of people use this site to schedule some different types of meetups.  Anyways, j ust an idea.
