Check out a new Meetup from one of our members K (Kurt) Underwater Hockey...up No Joke

I am supposedly organizing a new meetup but not really. Kurt A has had a passion for the game of Underwater Hockey for years and I have met at least 3 people in meetup that play as well. As I myself will be continuing in encouraging our members to have a more active lifestyle this is right up our alley.

This is a fun sport and interested to watch as well. Yes, I did swimsuit, goggles, flippers and all.

Kurt did such an awesome job with his permission I wanted to share his introduction.

This may be something you are interested or maybe not but there might be someone you know that has that personallity to have fun with this.

"Hello New Members to Underwater Hockey!

Thanks for joining the group. This meetup is an experiment for us in recruiting new people into this sport. New people are always welcome, to replace the old ones who keep drowning. :-)

If you are like 99.9% of the population and have never watched a game, check out this video. Note that this team is quite good, and the level of play is more intense than you will typically see.

Underwater Hockey Youtube

I assume you have never played Underwater Hockey before? Typically new people start by just showing up for a game and diving in. Since there are several new people, would you all be more interested in scheduling a night for new players, where we would go over the game and teach basic underwater hockey skills?

I have put out a 'idea' on the meetup page, for a new player nite. if this is of interest, please indicate so. If there is interest, I will schedule a new player nite.

Thanks for joining,

Kurt A"
