"40 Something Club" charity event (Hurricane Sandy)

Hello everyone.

This is a special event to collect funds for the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. So many people lost everything and it will take months and months to rebuild their lives.

Please come out and help us support the Red Cross in this worthy cause.

Admission will be $10. at the door and all proceeds will go to the Red Cross. I will also be selling raffle tickets for prizes donated for this event at $5.00 each.

This event will be cross posted to other meetups as we really want to make an impact and show that Meetup groups are very interested in helping people in need. I hope everyone can make it.

I have worked out a deal we will receive $5.00 well drinks and $3.50 drafts.

Olive You is a real nice ultra-awesome night club with a great atmosphere . They have a fireplace, dance floor, lights, bar and plenty of great sitting room (they are located across the street from Hectors so just look for the two big brass doors and the Olive You sign).

There will be a DJ in one room and band in the other room, both starting at 10 pm. The band and DJ will be playing all of our favorites to dance to all night long.

Please be sure to bring cash as I do not have access to a credit card machine.

(Because this is cross posted some people may not want name tags but if you do I will still be supplying them.)

As always if you are driving please be responsible when drinking and know the legal limit!!

Hi everyone, this is just a reminder that this event is a Charity and that all the monies including the $10. at the door goes to the Red Cross for the Hurricane victims. I already have serveral prizes to give out for the raffle and I am working on getting more. Please join me in helping the victims who won't get to have Thanksgiving in their own homes and a lot won't event get to celebrate Christmas.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
