Parma & Liguria feast!

  • Feb 23, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Remember that if you wish to attend, please contact me first. Once we have established what you are going to cook, I will add you to the RSVP list.

I have posted the complete menu (see below). Since the meat and fish dishes cost a little more, you can either sign up for a meat or fish dish, or for two side dishes, to keep things more equitable.

Please select two or more dishes from the pasta, vegetable or dessert items below, indicating your first, second, or third choices. That way I don't have to send a lot of messages if your first choice is taken by the time I receive your message.

The number in parentheses following each dish is the number of people needed to prepare it, 10 servings each.

I want to remind everyone that these feasts are supposed to be extravagant, magnificent, and splendid, so the dishes are chosen with that in mind. It is not a simple pot-luck. Northern Italy's food is sumptuous and grand, unlike that of the south, which reflects the poverty of much of the south.

Please note that the items in red bold type are what we still need. Items in normal black type are accounted for.

Don't forget to scale your recipes for 10-12 servings!

This is going to be a great feast, with some fantastic dishes!

I consider it a challenge to try to keep improving the feasts so that each is better than the last. Thanks to our dedicated members, who are up to the challenge!
