Top Australian Wines and The Leveson in North Melbourne invite you to experience an exquisite symphony of flavour this June.
On Sunday, 1 June 2014 Top Australian Wines is hosting 'Shiraz Heaven Heathcote Wine Lunch'; a special dining event which will see a selection of world-class Shiraz wines expertly paired with a range of dishes crafted by the masterful chefs at The Leveson Hotel.
This event will commence at 1pm with a glass of the highly acclaimed 2007 Barnadown Run Sparkling Shiraz.
To tantalise the taste-buds, a lavish antipasto platter with house-made dips, preserved dips, kalamata olives, grilled vegetables and Danish fetta will be served.
Complementing this feast will be a glass of 2009 McIvor Estate Sangiovese.
Entree will consist of The Leveson's own filo and Dukkah-wrapped lamb fillet on a bed of humus with a pomegranate drizzle, accompanied by a glass of 2012 Meehan Shiraz, 2012 Bullant Shiraz & 2012 Condie Kyneton Road Shiraz. Main will then follow: kangaroo fillet with sweet potato mash, broccolini and juniper berry jus.
Enjoy this memorable dish with three more wines — all distinct, all extraordinary! 2012 Tellurian Pastiche Shiraz, 2010 St Michaels Reserve Shiraz & 2008 Downing Estate Shiraz.
Concluding this perfect lunch is an eye fillet medallion on a bed of mushy peas with baby carrots and parsnip crisps served with garlic and thyme butter, followed by three more popular Heathcote wines: 2011 Paul Osicka Shiraz, 2010 Wanted Man White Label Single Vineyard Shiraz & 2004 Barnadown Run Heathcote Henry Bennett's Voluptuary.
