Free MAVS Wild Food and Medicine Workshop & Vegan Potluck

Free Event and Vegan Potluck: Wild Food and Medicine in Your Backyard: An Introduction to Survivalism & Herbalism with Dan Farella of Return to Nature

Dan will teach us how take a digital look at many of the healing, medicinal, and edible wild plants that surround us on all sides.

The event will be hosted by The Monmouth Area Vegetarian Society (MAVS), brought to the community by Monmouth University's Center for Human and Community Wellness.

What to Bring to the Optional Vegan Potluck: Please bring a completely vegan dish to contribute to the vegan potluck if you would like to participate in that (optional, but fun and delicious). You will also need to bring serving utensils, an index card/paper listing all your ingredients. Some people bring their own plates, silverware, and cups from home, which helps us to save resources.

The event is free and parking is free.

Very good presentation on understanding the botanical world that surrounds us and realizing their value to us in terms of medicinal healing and edibility as a natural food source.

I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation by Dan today. It broadened my understanding with the nature and inspired me to find out more about the abundant vegetation in the nature and their medical effect. Thank you, Mary for putting together such a nice program. I hope to attend more often in the future.
