Double Features: We view films and the films they have influenced!

  • South Orange Performing Arts

  • I have a number of films that seem to have influenced other films in my VHS and DVD collections, others in the group are sure to have other such films, why not plan some outings at group members' homes and apartments to see the films and the films they have influenced?

We can discuss them together...some examples include STARDUST MEMORIES and DEFENDING YOUR LIFE....THE BIG CLOCK and NO WAY name a couple.

I have others and I bet lots of us do. Who will be first to schedule a meetup to view some such films at her home or his home?

Coincidentally, I have booked myself for two other Meetups this weekend! (It's feast or famine!) I will have to cancel one, but unsure currently at this time.
    I therefore must say MAYBE.

Is this a suggestion for a meetup to be in someones home or in South Orange Performing Arts?

Montclair or the surrounding area works for me. I wonder if anyone remembers the Ormont theater in East Orange. They had wonderful foreign films.....

We could meet at my place. I live in East Brunswick close to Rt. 18 and Rt. 1. However, I do not have a VHS player, just a DVD one.

Montclair or Essex or Morris County in general would be in my range. Would love to join. (No Way Out loose adaptation of The Big Clock, but you knew that.)

Teaneck is re opening very soon. There is a Teaneck Film Festival in Nov.It's in it's 5th or 6th year. This theater used to show foreign or Indy films. Lots of reasonable restaurants to discuss films later.
