I dont think the con is dead as it had over 1100 gamers throughout the weekend. For LFR part of it was the fire was gone, with the pending D&D next everyone is taking a wait and see approach. We still had a core group of great D&D GMs out there. The gamers were also there, they just played other stuff.

Plus, does LFR really go through and read comments on meetups? I tend to doubt it. Complaining here would seem to have little real impact.

To clarify my statement: I felt it may be dead for LFR - and/or LFR is dead. The con was not at all dead. I would not say my note was not a complaint - it was a review - which is what I felt compelled to do by the automated email I received that asked me to rate the con. For the NJ Central gaming group that used to mainly play LFR, I felt this would be the appropriate forum to let other LFR players know what it was like and maybe what to expect in the future. Maybe this isnt posted just there (I dont know) - but thats where it appears for me...

For LFR: Too few high level players - resulting in most Paragon tables being cancelled - forcing ppl who signed up for Paragon to go Heroic or go home. Epics went off nicely. Missed battle interactive because it was scheduled for Saturday night. Would be better if scheduled for Saturday morning thru afternoon. Others that missed it agreed with me that it was because of its scheduling. I left the convention feeling LFR and/or this con is dead (years past almost all tables were full).

I was at winter fantasy when they ran the D&D interactive for Ashes of Athas and LFR - 25 tables in silt skimmers was awesome.

I'm positive there will be something for everyone this con!

I'm scheduled to run AD&D (1st edition); all three of the "Giants" modules. I'll also be running Ogre Miniatures (twice, I think). Looking forward to another fun Dreamation!

I'll be there, running a D&D Next adventure, a 4E adventure, and a playtest of my newest board game, Darkplane: Conquest.
