Hello All,

I've not met many of you so I thought I would introduce myself- My name is Jeremy Jordan, and I founded this group a couple of years ago to help organize our gaming community.  We have a lot of new faces lately, and I wanted to say hello via Email as I just don't have the time to game these days.  So Hello new friends and old!

Dennis has been running weekly D&D for us, and it is greatly appreciated.  If you have any questions feel free to ask the group, as we always welcome new players.  We play on Tuesdays when he is free (sadly I am no longer free on Tuesdays, nor most evenings).  Just keep an eye on the calendar to see if we are playing- hopefully in the future we'll have a more steady schedule.

I was recently contacted by a couple of people with interest in our gaming group.  The first is a product testing firm that wants us to try out a few new games, so I'll be setting up gaming nights to try out new (non-d&d) related games.  It looks like board games mostly, but hey at least its worth a try.  Expect some announcements as soon as I hear something, these will be open to everyone.

I was also contacted by a film company out of NYC that is currently producing a documentary on Dungeons and Dragons.  They had some interest in our group, but their main concern is funds at the moment.  While I am still discussing a few things with them about how we play D&D, they offered us a few favors: We'll be thanked in the credits (ie, the Central NJ Gaming Group) and we will host a screening of it at our house, after it hopefully debuts at sundance 2014.  If you want to contribute, here's a link to their kickstarter:

Be certain to mention you are a member of the Central NJ Gaming Group, as my hope is that if we send them enough cash, one of the producers will drop in and visit us, maybe with some of the props they have collected working on the film.

I have a few other projects I've been eyeing - I still have a Battletech Format I was supposed to submit to Catalyst; we have more D&D Next stuff, but its not all that exciting yet; and we're joking around about an Old Republic RPG that we're trying to get on BETA for.  But all of that requires the time I just don't have right now, so we'll see what pops up as far as events in the future.

Good Gaming!

-Jeremy Jordan
