NJ Mobile April iPhone/iPad Speaker Event

Calling all Mobile Heads,

After our last social meetup earlier this month, I've noticed that our group is finally getting some serious traction and momentum! Building on this momentum, I'm proud to announce that we'll be throwing our 2nd professional networking event. Thanks to the generosity of Local Wisdom - a web development company located near New Brunswick - and heroic efforts of David Spira in securing this spot, our keynote speakers will be the founders of ici (www.icihere.com): Ken and David Kay. I'm proud to announce that Brock Butler of Fogozine will also be attending and sharing his thoughts w.r.t. his iPad-based app.

Ken Kay, a software entrepreneur and angel investor, is the Founder and CEO of icihere.com. icihere.com is the developer of ici, which is an iPhone app that enables arts organizations and artists to connect with the public through the iPhone and other mobile devices. David Kay is Ken's son who did the technical implementation of the product. I also hear that he's an excellent gamer. :) Brock is a technologist who's been working in mobile for 8 years in both engineering and marketing. He's now poised to explore the next generation of mobile technologies and opportunities.

Following the speakers and Q&A will be a short professional networking event. Apologies in advance for the late notice, but this is a not-to-miss event from solid tech entrepreneurs. If you have any questions or would like to lead the next speaker event (tentatively scheduled for May 20 at Edison Technology Centre if all goes through), please don't hesitate to let me know. Email is preferred, but my cell is below as well. Thanks and hope to see you there!!

Mike, thanks for setting this up. I have walked away with a lot of new knowledge on iPhone (and even Android) application development. The presentation from Fogo and Ici was also very interesting and insightful, and not to mention Local Wisdom who was a great host for providing free pizza and beers. I think this meetup group has a huge potential to grow.

A great group of people and I walked away more informed and inspired. Couldn't have asked for much more. Thanks Mike.
