Thanks for the welcome! I'm looking forward to meeting up with other folks who play; so far my little uke has been a load of fun, and I suspect a room full of them and people who love them will be more fun still.

I've got a Kala Makala MK-C concert and just replaced the stock strings with Aquila nylgut today; and I'm surprised at the many music-like noises I've been able to coax from it this early on. I've thoroughly mastered the C-major chord, for instance..... ;)
