First, I look forward to seeing a handful of you this Wednesday at the Toro Bar & Grill. I understand no megaphones will be required. Next Wednesday, we'll see a few more folks at Seasons in Albuquerque's Old Town - should be fun.
In related news, we're getting good response for the Code 66 48 hour hackathon in Albuquerque this weekend (July 13-15), but we can always use more designers and developers. Interested? Check it out at http://code66abq2012.....
Also in Albuquerque, I'm looking for a handful of folks who'd be interested in working informally with the city to suggest ways they can make more civic data available - and useful! I expect we'll also be planning a chunk of an Open Data event with the city this November (with some friends at Code for America as well). Interested? Ping me and/or visit with us before the ABQ Web Geeks on the 18th (meeting from 4:30-5:30; Web Geeks at 6).
In other somewhat related news, several organizations and local entrepreneurs are helping launch New Mexico as a region of the Startup America Partnership (http://www.s.co)......[/url], with a kick-off and other events planned for September. Whether you're an entrepreneur yourself or working with a startup excites you, please consider getting involved. (Ping me and I'll send more details.)
Meanwhile, best wishes to all,
