No Budget Film Production Workshops
The No Budget Film Production Workshop is a collaborative workshop held every month to make a short film with members (a crew) who have a basic level of relevant skills--namely, writers, actors, lighting technicians, DP's, directors, editors, makeup artist and special effect artists.
Those wishing to break in to the industry as well as those already in the movie industry are both welcome.
Our purpose is for participants to advance their skills through practice, to network, and to build demo reels.
How it works:
A production is kicked off every month (or every 2 weeks depending on production length) . We will then call for a crew each contributes their expertise necessary to make it into a film.
Production cost ONLY accounts for material expenses (with receipts), not for labor, or time. It varies depending on the project selected but will be shared by crew members. e.g. Lets say a script is selected where a man grows old in a sec. We will call for a makeup artist who might incur material cost of, say, $75 dollars. This cost will be shared by crew members who request a copy of the finish film (with credits) at the end of the project.
Crew members are encouraged to bring their own equipments, but for those who don’t have any, We can provide equipment package .
The Production crew will meet for a screening and feedback when a project is completed.
