Network Security Lunch and Learn

DEFCON and 2600 member Gabe Chartier will be hosting a discussion on network security at the Vista Solutions office on Thursday, December 5. Gabe will cover a variety of topics, including IPS (Network vs Host-based), deep packet inspection (application/layer 7 firewalls), Antivirus, and Web Proxy Filters. To learn more about DEFCON and 2600, head over to and, respectively.

Vista Solutions will be providing lunch for this event.

Contact Tori at[masked] if you have any questions or comments.

UPDATE: As of today we have 19 RSVP's. I'm excited to say this means we've finally outgrown the Vista Solutions boardroom! As such, we will be relocating this event to the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce.

Please be aware that Mulberry is currently closed north of Olive Street. Your best bet is to park on Olive, to the west of Meldrum in the diagonal street parking. You’re also welcome to any open parking spaces in the Chamber of Commerce parking lot.

The talk was outside my area of expertise but was very well presented and interesting. Lunch was great too :)

The invite says December 5, but the narrative says December 12. Either way I'm in.
