Jut a reminder about this Thursday. It is a WORKSHOP meaning, please bring your laptop. We will be going through some of the nodeschool.io tutorials while "mentors" are roving around.
Super excited to see everyone this Thursday.
I have procured Cruzio Internet as the location (same as last time) and set the date as 7/24. I had wanted to do it earlier but based on other meetups in santa cruz around the same date, I decided to move it out.
Based on feedback, I want to make full use of the nodeschool.io classes as well as have some quick kick-off talks and introductions. Like I wrote earlier there should be two tracks, one beginner and one slightly more experienced.
I am also looking for people to help out getting new people set-up with installing node and such. If you are interested in helping out, please let me know.
As always, a big thanks to both Symantec and Terra Eclipse for sponsoring this meetup.
Check them out.
Still getting the date and time set, so stay tuned.
Based on conversations with members and posts on the forum, our next meetup is going to be school/training/workshop event. Initially, I am thinking we would have two tracks.
The first would be a very beginner introduction to nodeJS and would likely cover:
The other track might be something for someone with more experience. Currently I am thinking about trying to do an introduction to one of the larger frameworks like:
Of course I am totally open to suggestions, presenters etc.
