Peach Payments - Intro to PCI-DSS, its importance and how you can become compliant:

"We simplify accepting online payments from customers in the emerging markets" -

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a proprietary information security standard for organisations that handle cardholder information for the major debit, credit, prepaid, e-purse, ATM, and POS cards. Defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, the standard was created to increase controls around cardholder data to reduce credit card fraud via its exposure.

In the session we will try to cover the following topics:

• What does PCI Compliance mean? What are the standards?

• Why is it important?

• What is happening in South Africa on PCI Compliance?

• What does this mean for merchants?

• How do you become compliant? What is the role of your payment service provider in this?

Ian Petzer - Integrating to a system like Peach Payments using NodeJS:

Well known local developer with experience integrating Peach Payments and active member of the Node.JS Cape Town group.

1. Demonstrate the Node.JS code needed to integrate to Peach Payments

2. Demonstrate an existing integration between a Node.JS app and Peach Payments

Hey everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all tonight. For everyone that has not been to 88mph. It's on the 4th floor. Just tell the guard you are here for a event on the 4th floor and they will let you up.
