Node Hands On - Brewing Node Code with Coffee

  • Oct 17, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • TechStars

Hi everybody,

We're happy to announce the next in our series of Node Hands-On meetups:

Wednesday, October 17th, Jeremy Smith will be presenting Node Hands-On - Brewing Node Code with Coffee, and guiding attendees through sample exercises to get you started throwing down code with your new Coffee chops. CoffeeScript, a language that compiles into JavaScript, has been growing rapidly in popularity for client side development over the past few years. But its use is not only limited to client-side. In this talk, Jeremy will show you some of the great features and syntax of CoffeeScript and how to use it with Node and in your server side adventuring.

Bring your laptop with Node.js and any other tools loaded up.

Location is at TechStars, per usual, starting at 7pm.

See you there!

Matt Walters

Great introduction to CoffeScript, learnt a few tricks and I now know enough to learn more.
