Daily Hampshire Gazette seeking freelance web designer for rapid, limited design project

Hello,

The Daily Hampshire Gazette seeks a web designer for a rapid,
limited design project to be completed in the next several weeks.

We are currently re-developing http://www.pioneervalley.com and
seek targeted graphic/illustration help to polish things beyond the
core design/layout shown in the attached screenshot. We are looking
to a talented designer for graphic treatment of the "block" elements
shown in the attached screenshot in terms of color, typography and
illustration/design flourishes

The designer will work closely with both myself and Gazette Publisher
Jim Foudy. Rapid communications and turnaround will be critical
given the compressed schedule. Delivery can be limited to graphics
files - i.e. final HTML/CSS implementation and cross-browser testing
is not required.

While the project is limited in scope, the resulting design could
bring significant visibility to your work, which will be link-credited
on the site. An excellent result may also lead to additional,
larger projects looking forward.

Please send email to my attention explaining your particular
strengths, along with links and/or portfolio materials that you
feel best illustrate your skills around the specific project goals.

We will collect and contact interested designers on a rolling basis
until EOD Friday 3/12. A strong candidate may cut things off before
then, so you are encouraged to respond sooner rather than later.

Thanks,

Chip Kaye
