I became a librarian because I love to read. I was born in New Orleans and live on the Northshore.
I have always loved to read. My favorite authors of the moment are Neil Gaiman and David Mitchell. I do love fantasy but I also like some mysteries, particularly if they are historically set (I'm spending the Summer in late 1970s Laos with Colin Cotterill's Dr. Siri Paiboun). I like books that bend genres and have a special fondness for fractured fairy tales like Michael Gruber's The Witch's Boy and John Connolly's Book of Lost Tales.
I commute long distances every day and have a reliable car, so I am not choosy.
I would be mostly interested in novels but I have enjoyed short stories and children's lit, so I would not be adverse to that.
Hi, you may not remember me but we were friends at SLU. I am moving back to the area and looking for meetups to join and here you were!
Welcome to our book club-we're looking forward to meeting you. I hope you can come to our Sept. 28 meeting. Please don't forget to vote in the Poll!
Greetings New Member!
