Bridgeton Trails Branch St. County Library
3455 McKelvey Road Bridgeton, MO (map)
We will start the meeting at 7 and decide on how we want to organize our chapter, and what goals we should set for 2011.
The conference Call number is showing as "masked" how do I access the number?
Jackson,I think the free conference call is the more prudent tact. While you may able to get to the library, you may be there by yourself. As long as the conference call is an option, why would anyone want to risk a fender bender or worst. I choose safe, sound and warm overa Donner Party Re-enactment. There will be plenty of opportunity for "Face to Face" in the not too distant future. Marilyln Miles
Hi All,While ITap House sounds like is rollickin' good time, we may want to save that for a fun, fun, fun time...not a planning session. I called the County Library HQ, on Lindberge. They have a room open on the 19th not the 20th. $10.00 for three hours. They close at 9pm. C.L.H.Q. is very near HWY 64 for everyone's convenience. Let me know how you feel about this venue. I can make arrangements. Or my offer for "Sweet T" (my house) still stands. Let me know y'r thoughts.Marilyn Miles
Hi Jackson,The 19th is fine with me. Since you have a better handle on and better access to the numbers, it may make more sense for you to make the resevations. The ph: # for Library H.Q., on Lindberge, is [masked]. The rooms, if still available are $10. for 3 hrs. One is bigger than the other. They close at 9:00. I reckon, I'll just stay tuned for the final outcome. Regards,Marilyn Miles
Hi all, again,
You know I'm with Jennifer on sharing our email addresses. This venue is so tedious and limiting...and, heaven forbid, it doesn't have "Spell Check". Just sharing my Hump Day Hiss with one and all. Wink.Marilyn Miles
I just sent an email to those who have listed theirs so far.. How about we try meeting in Chesterfield on the 20th. I'm up for suggestions, but here's one:International Tap House161 Long Rd.Chesterfield, MO 63005p.[masked]
Looks to me like we have reps from the illinois 19th, and Missouri 2nd. What districts are ojohng, marilyn, and dave in? Would be nice to recruit someone from Missouri 1st and 3rd, and Illinois 12th and maybe the 17th. I am searching my buddy lists.
I am in the US Rep District 3, MO Senate District 22 and MO House District 105. I live in Northwest Jefferson County, about 10 miles out Highway 30 / Gravois from the St. Louis County line. In warmer weather, my deck is a great place for get togethers. ;-) Happy Holidays to everyone!
I am in Mo District 3rd. In the SW part of the city bw Hampton and Kingshwy just north of Chippewa. Anyone have some interested friends in the CWE, UCity, or other N STL for the 1st?
Since this is and should be in my opinion I am noticing that our meetup on the 20th is not posted on the NL website. I would be happy to do it. Just don't wanna be pushy. We could probably reach a few more people that way.
(a collaborative effort) sorry, left out of previous post.
Has anyone heard of Congressional Reform Act of 2010?
It proposes:1. Term Limits-12 years only. 2. No Tenure / No Pension, 3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security, 4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.5. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.6. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. 7. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
I have not heard of this John. Any chance you know the bill number? There doesn't seem to be an easy way I have found to look up legislation on the gov't. websites without one.
Thanks to Jackson for starting the NL St. Louis Facebook page. Great idea. Looks like the Missouri 2nd, and 3rd are represented and the Illinois 19th. Still need to reach out for people in the Illinois 12th, and 17th. Thanks to Marilyn for offering her hospitality
Hello All,Marilyn Miles here with some coordinates and logistics. I live in US Rep. District 3, Mo. Senate District 024 and Mo. House District 083. I harkon from the Clayton/University City area.I can offer my home for a winter, spring or fall meeting venue and can accommodate 20 or 25 guests.
Jackson, are you the organizer/leader for the Missouri No Labels Movement?
Marilyn here. I will scout out a venue, when I have an idea of how many we will be. Please let me know at [masked].
Hello Jackson, John, and Howard,I surely do look forward to seeing this movement evolve. If Jan. 20 is a firm date, I will spread the word to my sphere of influence. We'll see who surfaces.
Jeff here, I would be interested in attending the meetup. I am still a novice utilizing all the "social networking" software so I would appreciate guidance on how to keep current on what is happening.
Just checking to see which dialogue box to use. testing...123
Well, since we don't yet have a plan, what say we meet UP to build one. I am certain we all have the point of the No Labels Movement. We all share a very powerful common denominator. And now..."What do we DO?"
Please reach me at [masked] For now, I can't deal with the tedium of these "Social Network" venues. So until I become 24 carat savvy, I will offer my email up for communication.
Looking Forward to hearing from someone.
