On May 5th, 1862, Mexican forces won an unlikely victory over the French armies in the infamous Battle of Puebla. Here in the U.S., we celebrate this day as a connection to Mexican heritage and pride (and, of course, to drinking and partying).
YAY FOR MEXICANS, SANGRIA, MARGARITAS, AND TACOS!! Let's drum to celebrate.
This will be a drum circle/party, definitely potluck, and spirits are welcome.
We'll be doing this drum circle at my apartment (in the back yard), we'll definitely have a bonfire (provided the weather holds up), and your friends and family are welcome.
BRING A BLANKET OR FOLD-UP CHAIR... I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE!!
