The New Orleans FILM CLUB

We are viewing together films -- including documentaries -- that are "mainstream" or "classic" or "independent" or even "different". Always followed by a discussion. (I've been doing this for 10 years.) We meet in local movie theatres, cultural centers, people's homes around town, or even outdoors using a wall and a projector. Online viewing -- like youtube clips -- and the better television programs -- like PBS, BookTV -- are parts of the offerings.

As not to make anyone uncomfortable or shocked (except those who enjoy "shocking", of course), there is a warning for any program that is definitely not mainstream, "weird", "offensive", whatever.

Note: As I'm a Meetup Organizer for a variety of local groups, some of the films we show are co-presented by other meetup groups or other organizations. Always a fun way to mix crowds.
