Join 20Something and the team for AREA (American Run for the End of AIDS) at this year's AIDS Walk!
While the walk starts at 10:00AM, AREA will have breakfast for everyone on our team from 8:30AM to 9:00AM at our station table. If you can't make it in time for breakfast, just be sure to be at our table station by 9:45AM to start walking!
Please register online at our team page: tinyurl.com/Lsoeqzp to participate. Once you've registered, we'll look forward to seeing you on Sunday, May 18th! Where we will meet: Our team meeting table station will be on Literary Walk inside Central Park just south of the bandshell. The easiest way is to enter from the East Side, at E. 72nd Street & 5th Ave (77th Street Stop on the #6 train): follow the 72nd St. Transverse until you come to Literary Walk (Bethesda Fountain with the Angel from ANGELS IN AMERICA will be below you on your right & the bandshell will be on your left.) Turn left onto Literary Walk & go past the bandshell on your left. The team tables are arranged in alphabetical order from the bandshell. Since the AREA is early in the alphabet, we will not be too far from the bandshell, usually right after the American Express team.
If entering the park from the West Side: Enter the park at W. 67th St. & Central Park West (66th St. Lincoln Center #1 train stop or 72nd St. C train stop). follow the fence along the northern border of the Sheep’s Meadow. When you get to the northeast corner of the Sheep’s Meadow you’ll see the AIDS Walk staging area to your right & the finish line to your left. Just keep walking east until you get to the bandshell to your left. Since the AREA is early in the alphabet, we will not be too far from the bandshell, usually right after the American Express team.
