8:00: See a fantabulous show, Life in a Marital Institution

***

For anyone who's ever been in any type of relationship, ever, this event is for YOU!

Life in a Marital Institution is written and performed by James Braly, who has been compared to Spalding Gray. As The New Yorker says, "James Braly's wry monologue interweaves the story of his twenty-year marriage -- a union rife with 'tantric conflict' -- and Braly presents it winningly."

I haven't seen the show yet, but it's gotten fantastic reviews when it played at 59e59 Theater from the New York Times and the New Yorker

After the show, there will be a talk-back with James Braly, then eatin', drinkin', & merry-makin' @ a to-be-determined location.

**Full disclosure: The company I work for markets this show.**

    •  The storytelling was honest almost to a fault, but much more appreciative because of it. His well-delivered lines and effortless manner gave it more of a feeling of having a engaging dinner conversation with a new friend than going to a one-act play. James Braly was in a word - brilliant.
    •  A great choice for a night of theatre. Alot of fun. thanks, Sheryl!
    •  It was a great show. James is a wonderful storyteller -- very warm, funny, personal.
    •  I thought this to be absolutely brilliant. It will keep me thinking at for a week or two. The uncanny thing about it is, that while it is autobiographical, it is also theater. Now what is just biographical and what is just dramatic emphasis? It was so very beautifully done. Maybe life and truth, is just theater, or the other way around. FANTASTIC. Before I forget, this was one of the funniest theater events have seen in a longtime. Sheryl, thanks for for doing this. Curt
