Nonprofit Connector Message Board › Thank you, and event photos

This email is going to everyone who came for the Self-defense and assertiveness training event yesterday, or has RSVPed for it in the past.
--> First of all, thanks for the great showing yesterday - there were around 30 of you from 5 different groups - I hope you enjoyed yourself, but even if you didn't, please leave a review and your feedback. That's very helpful for us. Also, check out the photos posted.
--> Second, someone raised this issue yesterday and so I wanted to clarify it. If you want to return for additional sessions, but don't want to learn the same 'first session' stuff all over again, stay beyond 8pm and once the beginners leave, you can continue to train with us, or even on all the equipment lying around. And most of us long-timers are skilled at a few specific systems and are happy to train beginners:
Erik: Grappling, joint locks
Bob: Stand-up fighting, muay thai
Anne: Grappling, small circle Jujitsu
Budd: Wrestling, grappling
Alex: Stick and knife fighting, Jeet kune do
Jacob: Stand-up fighting, Krav maga
And there are a few others skilled in Taekwondo, Brazillian Jujitsu (BJJ), Wing Chun Kung Fu etc.
--> Third, all this remains free of charge: Not-Me! www.not-me.org covers the expenses, and is run on donations, so if you feel like it, drop a $5 bill on the table as you leave. If not, just keep learning and improving with us.
Erik is the founder of Not-Me! www.not-me.org and he and Bob have been training folks for self-defense for 10-15 years now. Apart from that, each of us has between 5 and 20 years of experience in martial arts, and are happy to train beginners. And we hope you can go on to train your loved ones to take care of themselves.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
