Sarsen Trail - how hard can that be?

The Sarsen Trail. I think from talking to many of you and feedback from the e mail I have sent out, the option is for the 12mile walk. It is shown on the site as 11 miles. I have walked it on a goodly few occasions and measured it with OS - it is over 12 miles.

I have suggested a start time of 9.00am. This will allow us to travel down that morning complete the walk before travelling back the same day in a reasonable condition.

The cost if £15 for early bird booking, prior to 17 March. £20 thereafter. You can register on the day.

This is a great event. You are walking in an ancient landscape and it helps to raise funds for the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

When you register, can I suggest nominating parking at Avebury and being bussed from Redhorn Hill back to AVebury.

I am not charging for my services today - this walk is undertaken at your own risk and expense.

There is a bacon buttie stop in the village of All Cannings. Couple of quid for a brew and bacon buttie. We will be at about 6 mile stage here

An excellent walk across Salisbury plain. Weather stayed bright and dry for us. Great day

I can't make this walk but should be able to join in with some walks now as my shift pattern is changing. The weekend of May 10th is a possibility but I may be going up north so I'll let you know nearer the time
