Announcing a new Meetup for The Richardson Screenwriters Meetup Group!

What: The Richardson Screenwriters Meetup

Price: $5.00 per person

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: NOTE: November brings with it a need to pay our bi yearly dues to meetup.com. I am raising the fee from 2$ to 5$ so that we can collect the dues faster and make record keeping easier. The dues are 72$ and will be due in Jan/Feb.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight: There are two assignments to choose from.

In an attempt to give full objective criticism to long term projects, core and new members are offered the following assignments:

1) Bring the first 5 pages of a script you are working on. Bring a minimum of 3 copies. The objective is to get your feature length script read in increments. Do NOT throw away every week's 5 page allotment.

Keep them bound by binders/clips/etc so that when you bring 5 more new pages, a reader can review your story as necessary to give appropriate feedback. You can also bring back the same 5 pages after changes have been made, however, keep your script binders organized! :)

2) Alternate assignment for new folks.

Take the following story tid bit and put it into 1-2 pages of screen writing format.

Don't know what that is?

Check our URL thread on the message board for links on how to write the correct format.

Story/scene: A married couple fights over which family to visit for Thanksgiving. Only, one is threatening to jump out a 30 story window for different reasons.

Do not worry if this is your first bit of writing. We're all here
to help each other grow.

For those of you still working on what you brought last time,
bring new copies for us to review.

Everyone: Please bring at least 4 copies of your project to
share.
