Conditioning Hill Climbs - Richmond Beach

This walk is faster paced and designed to get us huffing and puffing up hills and stairs. For a more leisurely walk, check out our Wednesday evening walks.

Each Monday in February, lets use Richmond Beach as our starting point and climb some hills. Whenever you have a beach as a starting point the only direction is up. Do not be intimidated. We will push ourselves but not kill ourselves. We may have different speeds up the hill but once at the top we will wait and regroup for all to arrive before moving on. If fitness is your goal, this is the walk for you. Plan on about 45-60 minute walk time.

Views, when the weather is clear, can be spectacular from many points around here.

    Let's meet in the upper parking lot this week (near the entrance gate - top of the stairs). We will do a loop of the upper bluff then head out and go down and up some of the side streets, possibly heading back along the beach and then finish up the stairs. I was going to do the big hill up Richmond Beach and down through Innis Arden but looks too overcast drizzly and I want to save this one for a day with views.
