6026 156th St SW, Edmonds, WA
I have weekdays free for awhile so let's get out and explore during the day. Hiking boots and good trail shoes highly recommended. Hiking poles may come in handy too.
Meet for a weekly hike on the Meadowdale Beach Trail (beach is not accessible right now)
Distance RT: 2.5 miles, should take about an hour (I may do this twice as I get acclimated to it again for a total of 5 miles or so, but you only need to do it once)
Elevation gain : 425 ft (the top third of this is fairly steep and you will be climbing it at the end)
Driving Directions (use these directions - google gets it wrong)
164th Street SW exit off I-5; follow 164th St SW west to 164th SW; turn right to cross Hwy 99; turn right onto 52nd Ave W; turn left onto 160th St; turn right onto 56th Ave W; turn left onto 156th Ave W. Park entrance is at the end of the road.
Stroll through the park's corridor on a 1-1/4 mile long nature trail. Experience the sounds of the adjacent tumbling stream as it weaves its way through the giant trees of the old forest. The stream, which is home to various aquatic life, including fresh water fish and migrating salmon, forms a small marine estuary as it empties into Puget Sound.
