Let's try Olympic Manor without the Christmas Displays. It's a great neighborhood to walk through
If you want to see one of the largest concentrations of mid-century homes in Seattle, visit Olympic Manor in Crown Hill (north Ballard). The main entrance is at NW 85th Street and 23rd Avenue NW.
Once, this was the site of the popular Olympic Golf Course, built in 1927. But Seattle’s post-war economic boom brought fast-growing families and the demand for new housing. In 1953, the golf course was razed. A new community of over 350 homes—Olympic Manor—went up in its place.
We will start out at Larsens Bakery - there seems to be plenty of street parking around there - and then walk the couple of blocks to Olympic Manor
Dogs in attendance must be leashed and have their owner present.
We will make it a priority to walk as a group. Paces may be a little different but I will stop along the way for others to catch up. Everybody needs to watch out for others. Let somebody know if you need a break or are going to turn around/
Please check email or this site the day of the event for any last minute changes or cancellations due to weather, road closures, illness, etc. I will try to post last minute details by 7am.
