Monday Evenings in Edmonds - Walk and Treat

Changing it up a bit for August and meeting in another corner of Edmonds that has access to a couple of wooded parks with trails and streets with beautiful views.

Starting at the corner of 76th Ave and Olympic View drive we have access to Lynndale Park as well as SW County Park.  This allows us to get our dogs off of hot sidewalks and into cooler paths in the woods.  We also can walk to Talbot Road and view the sunset from another angle.  These walks will be a little more rugged than our normal Monday so good soled shoes are essential.  We will not be climbing major hills but there will be some smaller ones.  Most should be able to do this

Plan on an hour to and hour and a half walk (3-4 miles depending on our speed). Mostly trail walking with some sidewalk and the possibility of some hills.

Dogs in attendance must be leashed and have their owner present.

No children under the age of 12, unless they are in a stroller.

We will make it a priority to walk as a group.  Paces may be a little different but I will stop along the way for others to catch up.  Everybody needs to watch out for others.  Let somebody know if you need a break or are going to turn around/

Please check email or this site the day of the event for any last minute changes or cancellations due to weather, road closures, illness, etc.  I will try to post last minute details by 7am.

See you all later by the yet to be opened Hook Restaurant on the corner of 76th and Olympic view drive. We start right at 7. Sun is setting sooner so we need all the light we can get. If it is not too hot I am planning
on doing the Talbot road loop. This is about 3.5 miles RT and we should have stunning sunset views.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
