We missed our Weds eve walk this week for Halloween - would anyone be interested in a make-up walk mid-afternoon Friday?
Hopefully we will catch some of the dry weather, and with it still light, we will be able to appreciate the peek-a-boo views of the surrounding mountains and Lake WA that are on this walk. Also our turn-around spot will give you a glimpse of the restored outside of Lake Forest Park's first one-room school. (If desired, we can add a quick side-trip to the Towne Center, where there are 2 bakeries with refreshments and outdoor seating).
The walk will start with a stiff up-hill climb through a utility corridor - so be prepared for longer grass and a quick warmup. Those not wishing to do the climb can catch us for the rest of the walk when we loop back downhill.
The entire hike is around 3 miles, so depending on the pace and any side trips, this could be 1-2 hours long.
NOTE: The meeting spot is actually just beside the Lake Forest Park Aqua Club. DO NOT park in their various parking lots. Use the graveled parking area on 56th Ave NE that is just past the T-intersection with NE 187th St., or along the street in this general area.
