DESCRIPTION OF THE HIKE: Just off the shores of scenic Deep Cove in North Vancouver sits a large rocky outcrop known as Grey Rock. A hiking trail, also known as the eastern most section of the Baden Powell Trail, leads to this point, offering scenic views of Indian Arm and the mountains around Belcarra. The start of the Baden Powell Trail begins along Panorama Drive just beyond the park area. Look for the sign on the left side of the street and walk up the edge of the driveway towards the wooden steps. The first section of the trail climbs quickly up the set of stairs and then up and over the maze of tree roots. Go right towards the clearing in the trees as the trail climbs up onto the solid rock. You have arrived at the Grey Rock.

Hi, I have a friend that I would like to bring along and he was wondering if he could bring his dog?

    May 19, 2013

    • Renee

Hi Marilynn, yes, you can bring a friend. The trail is dog friendly. Having said that, some members are afraid of big dogs. So, please use your judgement call.

Hi Gail, yes, as it has been explained in the post Grey Rock is also known as Quarry Rock).

Hello, I am planning to bring along my son ( 12 yo) wondering if it's ok age wise?

    May 13, 2013

    • Renee

Hello Kathy, it depends on his maturity. If he is a mature 12-year old, then sure. If he is more of a kid, no, the event is not kid-friendly. I will trust your judgement call.

Thanks for the reply Renee, I must say he is more mature than kidish but anyway he is a kid still. If being him around is not annoying for other members I would like to bring him along.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
