Come and join us for a night of live music at the Rusty Gull an intimate neighbourhood pub in historic Lower Lonsdale. Raved about by travel writers who have discovered its charm, The Gull has been loved by locals for 30 years.
The staff are famously friendly and the live music is the best on the North Shore.
With a large selection of hand-crafted beers, great pub food and of course live music. The Bob Cats are a classic rock and more information can be found here. http://www.bobcatsband.com/home_page.html
The Rusty Gull is always very very busy on the weekends. I would recommend getting here early as it is almost impossible to hold seats. I have put in 20 spots but as this is a bar there is no guarantee on seating. So come early pull up a chair and settle in for a great night of friends, music and maybe even a turn on the wee dance floor. We cannot guarantee seating at this venue.
If anyone would like to join me (Lisa) for dinner at 7pm, I will heading over early. Please let me know in the comments below. The more we are the earlier dinner will be. I will pop in this week and chat to the restaurant to see what time they suggest arriving to secure a decent table.
Robs Review of the Band:
Have been at three Bobcats dances in three consecutive weekends, three venues, and they play different songs every time. Seems Bob White "fits" the music to the audience.
Their music imo is as close to the original tracks as I've heard from a band. Just like the Tomcats. (Tom has retired and is said to be taking life easy in Gabriola Island.)
Mostly oldies/classic rock that we're all familiar with, from 60's to 90's.
Amazing how this band plays this well without any sheet music.
At one point, at a Burnaby pub, most people took a break from dancing to just listen to their music.
