There is still time to
RSVP for our Open House Fundraiser! 18 people are now confirmed & our townhouse comfortably holds 25, all with a glass of wine in their hands
. So, please do consider joining us at the last minute.
We have a goal of raising at least $1000 for Haiti (with the government match program.) This is the first ever North Shore Social Club Fundraising Event and we are looking forward to it being a rounding success. It will be a casual evening of meeting, growing new friendships,
and helping our Haitian brothers & sisters who lives have been so devastated by the recent earthquake. Please bring a small appetizer plate to share with friends and a cheque for
$25.00. Paul & Kim will provide 2 glasses of wine each, and a selection of cheese & bread. There will also be tea, and non-alcoholice beverages available. Please understand... Your cheque is NOT payment for the wine and cheese, rather it will be made out by you to one of two charities: Doctors Without Borders and The Primates World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF). All personal cheques will be marked for The Haitian Earthquake. Kim and Paul will then package the cheques together, and mail them to the respective charities on Monday. It is important to get them in the mail right away in order to realize the 50/50 match being offered by the Canadian Goverment. To qualify for the government match the cheques must be received by the charities on or before February the 12th. For more information about these charities, please go to www.msf.ca and www.pwrdf.org Doctors Without Borders have recently issued a plea for help in buying much needed medical supplies. The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund, targets relief in the short term and stays on for the long term to fund development initiatives. Please do consider joining us Saturday evening as we enjoy each other's company over a little food and wine. And even if you can't come for the evening, why not drop by to say hello? Take a moment out of a busy weekend to join the North Shore Social Club as we offer a
Hand of Hope to Haiti.
