7th Annual Party at the Pier

Voted one of the best musical festivals on the North Shore this Party-at-the-Pier will host numerous marine-themed activities and displays, along with entertainment on the Shipbuilders’ Square stage from 11 am – 5 pm. Some of the musical talent on board includes: award winning children’s entertainers Bobs & Lolo, the vaudeville show Flying Not Falling; the hottest young duo from Seattle Impossible Bird, and the cool Latin jazz & salsa sounds of Rumba Calzada. No Party is complete without our very own Lions Gate Sinfonia who will feature music from the Baroque and Classical periods right up to Modern-day LIVING composers and Jazz. Other activities include: strolling Pirates, face painters, balloon creations, visiting mascots, carnival games with prizes for everyone; interpretive tours, a petting zoo and much much more!

Unfortunately we missed finding a few members, but it was a lovely day to be out in the sunshine enjoying the festivities. We did the historical walking tour which was about 45 minutes and learned some new things about shipbuilding and the Victory Ships. Enjoy the summer everyone and do not forget in August their is music all day on Saturdays in the square.

Was I wrong in thinking the meet up point was the fountain ?? Not sure how to review past event notices ... but I was there (with 2 single friends) and the fountain area was jammed with an Elvis impersonator.

Amazing...the failure to meetup is endemic, despite the clear info about the rally point. Tonight, most of the attendees at the VSO Concert in the Park also failed to meetup. Room for improvement.

Hello everyone, looks like it will be a lovely sunny day for the party at the pier. I have had an unexpected visitor (my dad) so I am not sure if I will be able to make the event or not. Please meet by the fountain and look out for each other in the event I am not there. Sorry about that but leaving shortly and everyone is dropping in to say good bye.
