Hot Chocolate and a stroll - Hot Chocolate Festiival

The VANCOUVER HOT CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL is back for its third year, and this time, even more chocolate makers have come together to spike their hot chocolate drinks with the wildest, most delicious flavours you can imagine.

I thought we would meet for a Saturday afternoon Hot chocolate at the delicious Thomas Haas Chocolates & Patisserie and then wonder down to the Harbourside park for a stroll.

The Thomas Hass Patisserie offers everything from a wide variety of Desserts, Sandwiches, and Breakfast Pastries to our award-winning selection of handmade chocolates and confections. In our Café you can sit and enjoy award-winning lattes and espressos while you peek through the portholes and see our chocolatiers and pastry chefs at work.

The special hot chocolate create for the festival

#59 - "THE LUMBERJACK"
Bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup hot chocolate,
served with a Douglas fir-infused chantilly, maple & vanilla shortbread.
Available: every day of the Festival that the shops are open.

#60 - "MALTEASER"
Barley malt-infused hot chocolate (73% cocoa),
served with salt caramel malt truffles.
Available: every day of the Festival that the shops are open.

Please note this will be subject to the weather so make sure you check the morning of to see if I move it to another day.

It was fine and a good idea; unfortunately, I couldn't stay long...and had to pass on the stroll. Thank you, Lisa!

Just a thought if anyone would like to host a second group since there are so many people on the waiting list. I would suggest creating one either an hour before before or after or earlier in the morning. You need to avoid 1130 - 130 as it will be really busy at the cafe and you will be waiting for ages for your drinks. The stroll is very short as the spirit trail has not been connected this is really about the hot chocolate and getting out to meet some new people.

For anyone driving the best thing to do is park along the street, It was really busy today, so I doubt we will be able to find seats although there may be some outside where we can wait while every gets there hot chocolate or beverage of choice. They are abit slow so make sure when you get there you go in order your hot chocolate to go. The hot chocolate was worth the wait :),

hi Everyone, this seems to be very popular. Unfortunately I cannot increase the group size as Thomas Hass is very small and as it is 15 people getting hot chocolate is going to take awhile. Please remember to update you status if you change your mind so those on the waiting list can attend.
If it is raining, please check for a update to see if I cancel this event. I will probably post a movie as an alternative if it is raining.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
