Jammin 4 Jay
is an incredible once a year outdoor musical event that you won't want to miss!
This event is held every year in honour of my 2nd cousin Jay Drew, who died at the young age of 18 following a tragic motor vehicle accident. My 1st cousin, Jay's dad Greg, does an awesome job each year of organizing one of THE BEST outdoor music festivals in the lower mainland.
He features great Canadian talent, and all the monies raised support Greg's volunteer work as a firefighter going out to lower mainland schools to raise awareness among the students about the dangers of careless driving. He takes Jay's car with him on a long trailer as a visual demonstration that speaks for itself.
This year Jammin 4 Jay is being held on Saturday, June 26, 2010.
The gates open at 4pm and close at 1am.
It will be a full day of fun, music, food, laughter and good times! In addition to the live music there will be a 60 yard golf hole challenge, BBQ concession, beach volleyball, silent auction and door prizes, with beer and wine available at the cash bar. Fun for the whole family! Come and join us!
This year's music line-up comprises 6 talented groups whose stars are rising on the music scene!!Check out the bios of these groups to see for yourself:The Higgins
