Important Update for all Members...

What a great dinner event last night!  So nice to see a good turnout in support of Mark & Latief at the Divan Kitchen, my new favourite casual diner on the North Shore.  If you haven't been yet, you should totally try it out, you won't be disappointed.

We had 25 meetup members come last night, with several new folks, Mona & Tim, Mark & Maria, Catherine, Helen & Terry, and Kim recruited two new ladies at the door, Aisha & Hayat!

Such fun , and we took a toonie collection for The Harvest Project, raising $45 for the provision of 3 days worth of emergency meals for 1 adult and 1 child.  Thanks to everyone, I have put the cheque in the mail this morning, and I know the Harvest Project appreciates everyone's help in "extending a hand up, not a hand out" to the people of the North Shore who are experiencing a crisis in their lives.

Please Read the following Important Member News!

There are no events on the calendar yet for September...

This is a reminder: our web-site is designed so that every member is able to post an event.

So, if you are going anywhere, doing anything, and would welcome company, then why not consider posting your activity as an Event?

  • Give your activity/event a catchy title/name,
  • Decide on the time, date, and location for where you will meet,
  • It's helpful to post a cell phone contact number, but not necessary,
  • Add a brief description of what members will do at the event,
  • Put in the maximum number of RSVP you can host,
  • And most important of all, as the Host, YOU MUST SHOW UP!

After you have posted the event, I will review it, and I may add a fun image or picture to the posting.  Also, if I think it is unsuitable, I may remove the event, and then contact you to discuss why I felt it was unsuitable.  Trust me, I won't censor much!

Are you walking on the Seawall?

Going to the community centre to swim?

Taking in a mid-week movie?

Enjoying a lazy weekend brunch?

Or, just hangin' at the local coffee shop?

Want company?  Want to build a network of friends?  Want to be more social?

Then, step out and post your event...

Social Networks are built 1 aquaintance, 1 friend, at a time.   Let's make The North Shore Social Club, the club of MANY, and let's all take part in forming a great social network that is fun for all!

Cheers, and have a great (and safe) long weekend,

Kim and Paul
