Annual BBQ & Picnic for Independence Day!

Join Compassionate Living for our annual BBQ and Picnic in Cotati. Please bring a vegan, picnic style dish to share. Favorites are potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans, vegan mac-n-cheese, and pie! Drinks are good too like lemonade and iced tea. We will provide the veggie burgers and dogs! Yummmm!

If you can, bring a blanket or chair, but we will be providing some as well. Bring your plate, fork, cup, etc. How about some games this year? Any suggestions? If you have any questions, please e-mail [masked].

And a big shout out to Russ and Melanie for bringing a gas barbeque.....Instant heat and no waiting for our food. And thank you, Russ, for cooking.

A wonderful event! An opportunity to spend time with caring, compassionate people and not have to worry about the food.

Went to hear Judy Collins last night but it got so cold (brrrr!) that I had to leave early and now I have a cold! So sorry to miss this but heading for El Ay next week for the AR conference so must be well.

Andreas, I don't know why but I'll be there. Might have to do with family gatherings? Also, will someone please bring frisbee kinds of games?

Thought I remembered somebody asking about games. I can bring board games and cards if others have interest.

Last I checked Independence Day was on the 4th right? Why is this event scheduled for the 5th?

    July 1, 2014

Hi Andreas, many people have family stuff to do on the actual holiday, so we like to schedule close to, but not on the holiday itself. It depends on the year and when the 4th falls, but this year we got lucky and had a Saturday just after. It seemed to work out well for folks.

    Hi friends,
My husband Farrell had surgery and is dealing with lung cancer He can't drive and unfortunately I have to miss the festivities due to having to work that day. We we be so grateful if someone could pick him up and take him home. We live off of Hoen Ave between Yulupa and Farmers's Lane. He would love to be with his vegan community. Thanks
    Sandy
