Northern Digitals November Meetup

While it finds its feet this meetup will follow the same informal format, of creatives meeting up at The Northern for a drink and meeting new like minded creatives. These networking talks will then hopefully lead to some great work and partnerships.
I'm looking at moving Northern Digitals on little with the addition of guest talks by people from different creative fields. More news on this to come, when I've found a venue etc. Any recommendations on this would be great.

Good, honest talk from Fudge. Great turnout but was a bit hard to hear at the back. Looking forward to more talks in the future, keep up the good work Matt.

Thanks for all your comments guys. Sorry it was hard to hear at the back, I wasn't aware it was so bad.
It was the first of what will be many talks in 2010 and we are looking at a bigger venue for these.
For those who could hear, the feedback on Fudge's talk was really positive. It's great to get an insight into such a successful agency, especially the hard times.
The talks will be back from February but I'll se you all in December.

Peter BradleyIt was my first meeting and I am really pleased that I went. It was a great opportunity to meet people in graphic design and web production. Presentation by Fudge of Bolton was a case study of about a project that went wrong and how they reengineered the business to prevent it happening again. The poor sound quality and the noise of conversation from the more social members of the pub detracted from a great event. The organisers have ambitious plans for the future and I do hope that it goes well. I will be attending future meetings Peter Bradley

Mark HopeUnfortunately I missed the talk but the atmosphere was great and it was good to see so many people out. Much better than the previous one I attended with around 7 people in total! It must have been the lure of the prize draw (oh and the talk by Fudge of course :-)

Mike Todd-MillerIt was great to get away from the screen for a meet up. There were also lots of other people there, enjoying a nice 'quiet' pint. Didn't hear the speech at all ;( Would definitely go again, tho'!

Warren SlingsbyI think introducing talks by interesting speakers is a great idea for Northern Digitals. Just what's needed to keep up the momentum and make NDs even stronger in 2010 and beyond.

Mark CrossfieldI think we should have namebadges to break the ice, it seemed difficult to get talking to people but they were really friendly once you did. Had a really fun night. Liked that there was a talk, but could have done with more volume. All in all fantastic, definitely coming again.
