  • Active meditations were designed by Osho with us westerners in mind. It can be challenging with our hectic lifestyles, full of stimulus to just sit down and switch off into silence. How many times have you heard people say' I just can't meditate, my mind is too busy, my body cannot be still etc...'
  • They were designed to use the body and breath first, enabling us to 'empty our vessel ' through physical movement. By doing this we release pent up emotions and tension in the body so that we are more able to reach inner stillness, silence and meditation.

  • What is the Kundalini meditation?

    Often described as the sister meditation to the dynamic it is traditionally done at sunset. I personally feel this meditation can be done at any time and have often practiced it in the mornings noticing it has a beautiful calming affect on the day.

  • This technique is in 4 stages that flow together beautifully to make up the complete meditation. It is done with the eyes closed....

    Stage 1)Shaking. The body is stationary, loose and relaxed. We invite the shake to overtake us. ''When I say shake, I mean your solidity, your rock-like being should shake to the very foundations so that it becomes liquid, fluid, melts, flows. And when the rock-like being becomes liquid, your body will follow. Then there is no shake, only shaking. Then nobody is doing it; it is simply happening. Then the doer is not.” OSHO

    Stage 2)Dance- allowing the body to move freely remaining a witness to any thoughts, feelings or emotions; dancing with totality!!

    Stage 3)Witnessing with stillness and sound- Sitting or standing we listen with totality to music

    Stage 4)Witnessing with stillness and silence...sitting or lying we drop deeply inside and meditate

  • Meditations will start at 10am on Saturday mornings.

Cost will be £5. Fruit snacks and tea following meditation.

Temporarily these meditations will take place in my meditation room so numbers will be limited to 6 people including me. This is to ensure warmth during the coming months. As of spring we will return to the majestic (but bit chilly when it's cold)Lauderdale house venue in Waterlow park.

I am looking for a venue for evening meditations and will keep everyone updated of these when they start.

Nearest tube station is Turnpike lane on the Piccadilly line(8mins walk). Nearest tube is Hornsey rail (2 mins walk)which connects to Finsbury park, Old street and Islington stations

(If needed 2hr parking permits are available for N8/home venue for £3 at cover cost of purchase. Otherwise if you are coming by public transport it is literally a 8min walk from Turnpike lane tube on Piccadilly line or a 2min walk from Hornsey rail (connecting to Old street and Islington rail stations)

Buses to Turnpike lane 29, 144, 41, 121, 329, 232, 444, 221, 217, 123 and many others so have a look if none of these are suitable!

This meditation can be done alone but the more the merrier for a real energy blast. I know it's early but get up and JOIN IN!!! Trust me you will feel amazing afterwards....Come alone or come with friends. Bring an open mind!
