A book I reviewed for the Post last month.
My favorites vary from decade to decade (Borges to Tagore) - but Woolf, Joyce, Marquez would be constants from my early days. (And I can always rely on Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, PG Wodehouse, Kennedy O'Toole, or dog eared joke books to bring a smile to my face when I'm tired.)
A recent issue of Granta (writers in Pakistan), James Wood's 'How Fiction Works', a book on arthouse cinema.
No single type, really. Mostly literary fiction.
