Melbourne Art Trail and Festival

This is another joint meetup with the Nottingham Sociables group.

I visited the Melbourne Art Trail with meetup last year, and really enjoyed it.  The town invites artists to set up displays in homes, gardens and public buildings all around Melbourne, and visitors can enjoy the whole event by purchasing a Trail Badge for only £5.00.  There is also live music, food stalls, and lots else to see and do. Much of the art on display is available to purchase, so we could maybe do some advance Christmas shopping!

Meet in the food court on Church Street at 11.00.  We could have something to eat or drink and then head off around the town, maybe meeting up again later to discuss what we have seen.

There is lots of free street parking around the town, as well as car parks in the town centre, although these may obviously fill up early in the day. According to google maps, it's about 35 minutes drive from Nottingham to Melbourne.

It's possible to get from Nottingham to Melbourne on public transport, by getting a bus to Derby, and then to Melbourne, although it is a rather long journey!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
