St Patrick's Day

Sunday 17 March, see Nottingham once again celebrate St Patrick's Day in a not to be forgotten cultural extravaganza!

St Patricks Day Parade

The annual St Patrick's Day Parade will make its way from the Forest Recreation Ground to the Old Market Square and will feature various marching bands from across the city, the Irish community and Irish organisations.

There will be a free open air concert in the Old Market Square throughout the afternoon showcasing the best of Irish traditional music, song and dance.

Nottingham's St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival is a community led event is organised by a volunteers committee with support from Nottingham City Council, the Police and volunteer stewards.

Meetup event:

Let's meet there between 12:30pm and 1:00pm. The ones that want to go enjoy the parade and concert can then go to the square easily. And for the ones that prefer a drink and a chat inside, they are free to stay there or move to a different venue of their choice.

Also, feel free to wear green! I definitely will :-)

Hope to see many of you there!

I went but couldn't find you. I went from Weatherspoons to the market square and back a number of times.. There were crowds of people and quite a number wearing Guinness hats. So it was an impossible task to find you. I go to Nottingham's St Patrick's celebrations every year so I get used to familiar faces. The weather didn't help. The Irish celebrations continue tomorrow with a film showing at the City Gallery. It is 'The Wind that Shakes the Barley'. It's free. Starts at 7pm.
